WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS...

MAKE SOURDOUGH

I'm Mrs. Saradough - a scientist turned stay at home mom with a knack for making craveable baked goods. My sourdough journey started long before my first bake.

 

Just after giving birth to my daughter, I was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder similar to rheumatoid arthritis. That diagnosis was the catalyst to make-over everything about my life, most importantly, my diet. I noticed the impact that the foods I ate had on my health, so I became much more ingredient-conscience. When I read the labels on simple items like bread, I was mortified! There were so many ingredients I couldn't pronounce and even more that just seemed unnecessary.

I went back to the lab and researched what should actually be in bread. To my surprise it was only three simple ingredients -

 

Flour, water and salt.

 

That's when I knew it was time to take control of what I was eating.

Before I knew it I was on a fast-paced, all-in mission to learn the ancient art (and science) of baking sourdough bread from scratch. After many failed attempts, I finally learned how to make picture perfect palette pleasing bread. What started as a way to fight my illness and feed my family better bread has become my passion and now, it is my honor and pleasure to provide my life-changing sourdough to you.
